Setup Guide — Getting Started with the Sims 4 DLC Launcher

Follow these quick steps to install the launcher, point it at your Sims 4 folder, and get every pack ready in minutes.

Step 1

Install the EA App

Download and install the EA App. The launcher requires the EA App because The Sims 4 uses EA services even when installed through Steam.

Step 2

Install The Sims 4 (base game)

Install The Sims 4 base game normally. The launcher works whether you installed the game through Steam or the EA App.

  • Steam path example: Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 4
  • EA App path example: EA Games\The Sims 4
Step 3

Download and open the Launcher

Download the Sims 4 DLC Launcher from the Download page, then run it.

Step 4

Select your game path

When the launcher starts, it automatically tries to find your Sims 4 installation folder. If it cannot detect the folder, it will ask you to choose the location manually.

The correct folder should contain Data, Delta, Game, and __Installer.
Step 5

Install the DLC Unlocker

Go to Tools, then click Install. The DLC Unlocker is already included and installs automatically — no extra setup needed.

Step 6

Install the packs you want

Go to the Packs tab. Every pack is available directly inside the launcher. Click Download next to any pack you want, and the launcher handles everything automatically.

Step 7

Launch the game

Once your packs are installed, simply launch The Sims 4 from Steam or EA App as usual.

The launcher does not replace the game launcher — it only manages DLC files.
